Dillon is a short distance west of Hope. I drove around this area and found little that resembled a town, just the elevators and a few country homes. Wichita State University library has an old photograph of a Dillon schoolhouse in their special collections. Was a small community here at one time? Did Marshall Dillon ever take off his boots here? Don’t know.
