I photographed this abandoned stone home about a year ago. It’s along highway 58 west of Leroy. It fits really well as a an introduction to a National Geographic article available online: The Emptied Prairie. The essay’s scope includes Kansas and the Dakotas.

As near as I can remember it's along highway 58 west of Leroy. I was amazed how closely this kitchen fits with the one described in the National Geographic article.
