Fog can endow a landscape with a luminous lighting that one doesn’t find otherwise. But it’s not a subject for late sleepers. The best moments usually come as the sun first lights up the sky.

This was photographed along the Smoky Hill River, just above the spillway below the ADM flour mill, in Salina. I added some effects to simplify the image to basic shapes and light.
