This picturesque site is on private land, and was photographed over the top of a gate. But that worked out okay, I used the gate post to steady the camera, and it’s a good angle on the walls. Don Palmer said an old school is, or was, further back on the land. At one time the area wasn’t closed. Elsewhere in the area, on road 10, I noticed another natural stone building with this redish hue. Must be a extra iron in the soil here that’s coloring the stone, or mebe the wall blocks are sandstone. The corner blocks have a more standard limestone coloring. Range burning throughout the area has the sky filled with a smoky haze.
Great shot!Wonderful atmosphere.
