Hutchinson, Kansas at the fair grounds — This photo captures one of those defining moments in the quilt auction experience – the bid. I was rummaging through some older images and this one caught my eye, reminding me that the sale happens this time of year. Their website says April 17th & 18th, so we missed it this year. This photo is from the event some years ago (2003, I think), before I started these journals. I’ve attended a couple times, Cheryl a few more. If you get the chance to go, it’s a good thing, with hand made crafts, German food, barbecue, and the “feeding the masses” event. Check here for more info.
