Created of limestone from quarries in the Lincoln area, the court house was built in 1900 at a cost of $25,000. Architect: C. W. Squires.

Charles W. Squires was our Emporia architect. I think we still have 11 buildings standing that he designed including the Anderson Library and the First Presbyterian Church.
