Found along back access roads at Lyon County fishing lake, the grass is tall as I am (~6 feet). Always amazed and the range of color in range grasses, I see mixes of blues, yellow-greens, and Persian red, and a calming simplicity of form. In the background, softened by the bokeh, is the edge and dark shadows beneath the woodland bordering the lake.
Can you get a close-up of a chigger, Dave? You are great with insects.
Maybe masses of chiggers are the red color on the grass. Nice of you to say I'm great with insects. Chiggers just love me.
