We were pelted with hail a couple nights ago. The winter cold kept the pellets frozen in the grass and along the walkways, glistening pea-size spheres. Looking a bit like a chunk of lead crystal, the above image is a close up of one of the stones. (Actual size was about a 1/2 inch across)
