Melvern Lake, Kansas – This is a favorite stretch of shoreline west of the Sundance area, about a 1/2 mile walk through grasslands and woods. It’s a great place to look for fossils. Worthenia tabulata fossils wash up with the waves and can be found among the stones on the beach.
