Anticrepuscular rays

A recent evening thunderstorm came with some gorgeous light plays. Among them were these unusual anticrepuscular (also called antisolar) rays. The phenomena occurs opposite the sun, so these illuminations appeared on the eastern horizon shortly before sunset. The first study was photographed from a min maintenance road near Council Grove, the rest from various points on Americus Road.
