Wabaunsee Lake, Kansas – Some lucky stiff leaves the dock for a late evening cruise, maybe some ski action. I’m a little jealous but it’s nice here at the boat house, as hot summer days go.

Wabaunsee Lake – I only caught a glimpse of this turtle, but the golden tones of his shell caught my attention right away. Perhaps it was the reflection of late afternoon sun giving the gilded look, but it resembled something escaped from a fairy tale.
