This is part of a fireman’s gear on a Council Grove fire engine, ready for quick use. Nine firemen lost their lives last night in a Charlotte, South Carolina warehouse fire when the roof collapsed. It’s a dangerous, important job they do. This image was originaly posted last evening before the accident, but this mornining I’m dedicating it to the lost heroes, and the others who carry on the work.
