The “writer” wants to know who were they, where did they come from, when did they leave (and why), and where did they go?? And, Dave, is it sunrise or sunset?
This is another spot along the rough and beautiful Road X in Chase County, taken shortly before sunset. And though it is thick with growth, and the outbuildings are showing age, it looks to be a working farm. An area off camera to the left is much better tended. I think I met the owner, who stopped to check on me as I was photographing along the roadside further north. He thought I might be having car trouble. One does wonder about the hidden stories, and the generations that passed their lives in such places, the joys and struggles.
