Pokeweed

Pokeweed is a showy plant this time of year, with thick red stalks and colorful branches and fruit. The fruit is poisonous to livestock, though the plant has served medicinal uses. More info, check Kansas Wildflowers and Grasses.

    I've got these all over the place where I live. Sure do provide some nice color in the fields this time of year!
