Bass Pipes

Inside Kenyon Hall, Emporia, Kansas – Underneath the heart of (what was once) a pipe organ’s sound generating instruments is a nest of wooden reed pipes which, unless I’m mistaken, provided the bass. The organ itself is long gone, but wooden and brass pipes of all sizes are still in place.
